Connecting Windows 98 with Linux using Parallel Port (laplink cable)

How can I connect my Linux Laptop to a Windows laptop via a Parallel cable (Laplink)? In windows I would usually go to Direct Cable Connection, then type in the name of the computer and then I'm done. But how can connect my Linux laptop to my Windows laptop so I can transfer files from the Windows to Linux?
