This question may have been asked, but this is my first time here.

I recently got into Linux and I have been using Linux Mandrake 8. I've got it running on a workstation, and connected to the internet through a hub which is connected to a cable modem. I want to set up a network server instead, and hook up the cable modem to the server and then hook up the rest of the computers to a hub which is connected to the server. The major problem that I am trying to figure out is, the rest of my machines are Windows 2000. I need to run windows on the workstations, as my wife and I play games made only for Windows, and we also connect to the interet alot for online gaming. I am currently looking for some help with setting this up. I don't want to keep having to shut down my computer or hers to connect another computer to the hub.

Please help?

Thanks,
Kevin

you mean you want to set the machine up as a gateway/router. first off, you need two NIC's in the machine you are going to use as the router.

Check out these NHF's:

Easy internet connection sharing (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/network/eznetshare.html)

basic routing (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/network/routing.html)
