hey all! I just got a old pc from a friend and I want to add it to my network as a router/firewall -- right now I'm splitting an ADSL line between a linux and winbloze 98 machine. I'm not going to post another question about how to do this, I've been reading the HOWTOs, etc. and feel pretty confident that I can hack my way through it. What I'd like to do is get an account with one of those dynamic DNS sites so that I can start to serve up web pages and maintain my own email from my own machines. My question is this: Would I place apache and my email server on my new router box? or would i have to keep the web stuff on one of the networked computers and have the router pass off any email/web requests?

Thanks in advance!

You can do either one. However, as a security recommendation, I'd suggest putting the server behind the firewall. If it's on the firewall, and someone breaks into it, they can compromise the network more easily.
