I have an Okidata Okipage 4w printer that works well only under Windows. Is it possible to send, say, a KWord file from my Linux box to my NT box, which will then send the file to the Okidata printer connected to the NT box? Or does it work with Postscript or text files only? Is Samba the only way for my Linux machine to talk to NT?

Thanks!

Yes, you can print from a Linux box to the Windows host, but yes, you will need Samba. You probably want to go to the www.samba.org (http://www.samba.org) site and read the documentation for specifics. I am pretty positive it is in the O'Reilly book 'Using Samba', which should be in html form on the Samba site.
