Following various directions, and reconfiguring my sendmail.cf file numerous times, I am still not able to get rid of my 550 5.7.1 error when tying to send from a remote location. I've even tried setting it up for promiscuous relay, and the same thing....I'm using YDL 2.2 and sendmail 8.10. Can someone please give me some idea what I'm doing wrong?

I am not sure if I understand the problem you are having. But it sounds like you are having trouble trying to relay mail. Check to see if the host name you are trying to send mail from is in your relay-domains file. If not add it and restart sendmail. Sometimes you need to use an IP address instead of a host name.

Hello,
I think I have a very similar problem to the one you posted. Have you had any luck resolving the issue? If so, I would appreciate any insight you could provide as to how you were able to get it fixed.
I add the host to the relay-domains file, and still had no luck after restarting sendmail. As well as in the local-host-names and I doubled checked my DNS config to make sure it was correct.
Oddly enough, I can send and receive e-mail with the suffix "@myhost.mydomain.com" but not "@mydomain.com"
I'm still a bit confused.
Thanks in advance.
