All,

A friend of mine who owns a computer store locally here asked me to help him with a project. He wants to setup a cluster of AMD Athlons using Linux. I know that there is Beowulf. I also know there is Redhat High Availability Server and TurboLinux Cluster Server. What I ask of anyone with experience in this arena to give me their trials and tribulations of their solution. Or any websites, whitepapers, FAQ's that they found that made the process easier. I am leaning toward the Beowulf option since it is Free and I know that it is proven successful. My troubles are that the documentation for this process is very poor and outdated. Any help from anyone here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Since I know very little or perhaps nothing at all on the subject, I would start by using all the available search engines especially 'Google'.

A trip to a good book store may help.

I have done the google thing and have plenty of bookmarks. Was just looking for success stories and words of advice etc. Basically ways to bypass the hurdles or reasons why I should go with RedHat HA Server over Beowulf.

Thanks
