beginners guide to setting up a linux server

Where can I find a good guide to setting up a linux box as a dhpc server/firewall to use for a small network (office in my house with 3 or 4 computers). I am a beginner when it comes to linux so I wont even bother trying to ask specific questions. So if people can give me some website url's to useful beginner guides for setting up a server, that would be great. Thanks
