I have a linux server running redhat 7.3. Can I file share with a MacosX box? Would I use samba? Thanks for any help!

Check out Dave (http://www.thursby.com/products/dave.html) and Sharity (http://www.obdev.at/products/sharity/index.html) for the Mac side of things. OS X Server also has some of this functionality built in. As for the Linux box- yes, you would run Samba on that.
