I made it through the install of redhat 6.0
without any hitches (not after having to steal my 8 year old daughters Matrox Mystique 220 from her computer and give her my 16mb AGP 2d/3d card that did'nt seem to be compatable)
But anyway here is my ?? ( how do I change my resolution from the current default setting I chose during the install (1024X768) to (1280X1024)?
I have a 19" viewsonic ps790 which can handle up to 1600X1200 but I'm only looking for 1280X1024 24bit. I am using the Gnome GUI currently. Do I need to be logged in as superuser in Root or can I do this in my user account?
Yes, I'm a very NEW Newbie full of questions. 90% of my computer knowledge had been gained from reading these forums. however this is the first time I have posted a question. I promise I won't write so much when my next pressing question comes about.
Thanks to any and all who can help me.
