I want to run an ftp server off of my linux box.... which is connected to the internet through my win98 box via Internet Connection Sharing (which is just a DCHP server, right?)

so.... how do I make this ftp server accesible to the rest of the world?

is it easy to do?

Running Slackware 8

I'm pretty sure you'd have to set up some fort of port redirection/forwarding on the win machine...but I have no idea how to do that :)

Good luck

scanez is right you would need some sort of port forwarding program on the win box. It would be easier just to use your Linux box as the gateway and ftp server.
