Here is the great Country of Australia, Telstra OWNs and control everything.

With their broadband, they say u can download only 1Gb/day and not upload more than u download, otherwise u get cut off with no notice.

I have 2 computers connecting to the net through a Linux Box gateway. Is there a way I can automatically set it to cut off the net FOR THAT DAY and restart for the next day, once it has reached that watermark??

Also, is it possible, to set one computer to say have unlimited bandwidth and the other per IP address to have 50Kbps Max thoroughput through the ppp0????

Hope u can help, thanks

I believe that what you're describing is possible. Hey, this IS Linux, after all! ;) But, I can't provide much more help than that. I've been wanting to experiment with such things, but haven't had the chance. I can, however, tell you that BOTH of the things that you're wanting to do are possible. Again, sorry I can't point you in any more specific direction than that.
