Hi. I have set up Samba before between Linux and Win98 without much of a problem. I basically just want to set up my Linux box as a print server from Windoze. I have searched and tried just about everything but am unable to get Windoze 2k to even see the Linux box on the network.

Can anyone point a helpless newbie in the right direction?

TIA,

Same netmask? Did you add the Win2k user you are using to samba users with smbpasswd?

did you change the WORKGROUP setting in the the smb.conf file to match that of your windows machine?

I am trying to use samba with Win2k as well. I can see the Linux box, and even view the shares, but cannot access them. it says network path not found. And I dont even know how to access the shares on the Win2k box.....any ideas??
