im trying to network an old 486 pentium 100...its ISA only and i threw in an smc EZnet ISA card....i have tried the smc-ultra, smc-ultra32, and rtl8139 drivers...none work...i also dont know the values for the IO and IRQ..how would i find those out? anybody have any info? i tried SMC's site but couldnt find any linux info on my card.

Searching the posts first is always a good idea. Most topics as these have already been answered numerous times.

I copied and pasted this from a post just up from yours. Actually a suggestion from me.

ISA? Use the dos configuration utility that comes with the card or downloadable and turn of it's PnP and then change the IRQ and IO to ones that are available on your system.
Since ISA nic questions have been asked and responded to so many times in the past, I will only suggest you read the NHF here on ISA nics.

i got it...just needed to do a modprobe....

should of posted that before you replied...could of saved u some time.
