OK guys here goes. I finally got a NIC in my Linux box to recognize. I've got my Win95 box setup for file sharing with tcp/ip when I had two win95 boxes together. So what do I need to install to get file sharing. I have Mandrake 7.0. Basically All I wanna do is make it so I can pull files off my Linux box to my windows box so I can put them on my cd-rw. From what I understand Samba should be the way to go. Correct? And can anyone point me to a good howto. I've got a few printed but looking for Samba info.

A couple of the obvious...

The Samba NHF right here (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/network/samba/samba1.html) at LNO.
www.samba.org (http://www.samba.org) of course

A free online book available at Informit (http://infobase.informit.com/linux/) which requires registration (free).

Enough to get you started? Good Luck
