Mista, Mista, NIC no work(NIC problems)

I cant seem to get my nic working in rh7.0.
I run ifconfig and only the lo interface shows up. My nic is a dlink dfe-530tx+(rtl8139 module). In linuxconf i set my adapter 1 as eth0 with the rtl8139 module and dhcp(My router is set to run dhcp). Upon booting up i get the following error ......... "bringing up interface eth0: insmod: /lib/modules/2.2.16-22/net/rtl8139.o: insmod eth0 failed......Delaying eth0 initialization."

upon shutting down i get this part of the same message......."insmod: /lib/modules/2.2.16-22/net/rtl8139.o: insmod eth0 failed"

What am i doing wrong? I have tried things such as disabling pnp in the bios and have had no success. Please if anybody knows what could cause this i would be very appreciative.
