What's the word on Linux supporting the seemingly defacto wireless networking standard. If it's going to be soon I may wait and do my Linux/Windows network wireless rather than wired. I did a search of the forums for this and turned up nothing. Any direction you can point me would be appreciated.

Actually, I am using Lucent's ORINOCO WaveLan WiFi cards with my redhat system and they are working excellently. Go to www.wavelan.com (http://www.wavelan.com) for more info.

Was the Lucent card automatically detected and installed, or did you have to do it manually?
