For some reason my Lucent win modem will only connect at 28.8 with download speeds of about 3.3 k/s when used from linux. In windows ME it connects at 52.2 with download speeds of about 5.7 k/s. By all means, i'm happy it works in linux, but that extra 2.4 k/s is really nice.
Does anyone have a lucent win modem working in linux that gets good connection speed? Is this just a network setting or something that I have missed? Could it be my isp? A modem command?
Let me know anything that might be usefull.
Oh btw... I'm running KDE Mandrake and have the 2.2.17 linux kernel. and I'm using the 5.78 lucent drivers.
