Does anyone recommend any books on Samba? The two I was looking at are Running Samba (O'reilly) and Samba for Dummies.

The two I was looking at are Running Samba (O'reilly) and Samba for Dummies. mdwatts 01-06-2001, 11:37 AM There's a complete online book available for free at http://infobase.informit.com/linux/ . You just have to register if you haven't already. There's also a NHF on Samba here. z00s 01-06-2001, 01:33 PM Yeah, I took a look at the NHF, I just wanted something that goes into it more deeply. I was primarily looking for recommendations... mdwatts 01-06-2001, 02:42 PM Well, the one at Informit is free and the complete book is online. Strike 01-06-2001, 03:20 PM There's also the free Using Samba, published by O'Reilly (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/samba/chapter/book/index.html) online. And O'Reilly books are generally notorious for being super-helpful (I like the two that I own). [This message has been edited by Strike (edited 06 January 2001).] justlinux.com
