sendmail not working?

Hello,

Ok I have setup a small sendmail server to forward mail from from my LAN and while im at work (Pure MS Network).

It was working then all of a sudden it stops after a reboot.

It shows it running
1266 ? S 0:00 sendmail: accepting connections


nmap shows that port 25 is not open from the localhost. There are no rogue ports open.

My Mail client wont connect either.
Im at a total loss.

I figured it out.
I had to completly remove sendmail and install the latest version. It starting working again. Wonder what happen?

Did you use linuxconf or edit the sendmail.cf file by hand to modify sendmail? Linuxconf has been known to foobar the config, and the latter is not really recommended.
