I'm trying to get my firewall/ip masquerading working with no avail. Anytime I try to do anything with iptables it spits out a handful of lines (all ending in the word "failed") and the last line says something about "Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded." WTF?

As I said, I'm running Red hat 7.1... Should I be having this problem? Does anyone know what the hell could be going on? B/c I'm about to go f'ing crazy. I'm about to go to dinner now (late as it is), if needed I can paste the lines on here later...

(also, I apologize for teh Tech Support/Networking cross-post... I'm a big newbie on this board, and wasn't sure where it should be posted. Thanks!)

Thanks in advance,
Brian

I think I figured it out. It was b/c ipchains what being loaded. I rmmod'ed it and told it not to be loaded at boot.. We'll see how that works.

BTW- should a post like this be posted to Networking or TEch support?

Thanks
Brian

I'd post it to networking....

I had posted the fix here:

Guess you missed it in your search.
