It says that one picture is worth more then a thousand words - so you can SEE some of my configuration using the URL link below;
1. I am a newbee
2. I tried my best to connect to my ADSL provider but could not! (used adsl-setup I think)
3. The settings of my Win2K VPN for my ADSL provider are displayed in picture format here: http://www.domaintheglobe.com/backtest.htm
4. I AM able to ping the providers address when in Redhat – meaning I AM connected somehow to the server or am able to “see” it (forgive me if I sound silly)
5. I would appreciate any advice on translating all the info that's in the URL to Linux - using RedHat7
6. That’s all

:)

I don't think your RedHat machine is getting the DNS server(s) IP. Try to ping 63.236.73.208, which is linuxnewbie.org. If you can, that's good. You'll need to call your DSL provider to get the IP address of your DNS servers.

Just for clairfication, you are dual booting RedHat with Windows 2k?

A-I guess you mean the server given DNS does not work probably right?
B-Well, I'll try to do that
1.One thing I need to know though - who do I find out if MY IP is correct - that is the cards IP or the ADSL modem IP
I don't know where to check it in Linux
2.Also what replaces the X.X.X.X RELAY_PPP1?
that I have on my settings - all I could plce in Linux was the IP without the rest.
3.And again - how can I make sure I use "optional incription"
4.and "pptp" protocol?
Thanks so much

Don't know anything about setting up DSL, but the following commands help you along.
ifconfig (find your ip and other good things)
route (your routing table)
