Gaccm 11-04-2000, 05:20 PM i belive if you pick up any NIC it has good chances at working, but what i did is get an SMC eznet, because it included a copy of TruboLinux, so i knew that it would work with linux. Fandelem 11-04-2000, 07:25 PM i found US$8 dollar 10/100 mbps NIC's that are auto-detected in Linux.. http://www.fandelem.com/nhf-1.html (read section 1.1) regards, ~kyle hyPER_MaN 11-04-2000, 09:44 PM i found the dlink or similar nic''s very good i'm using a dfe-530tx+ based on the realtek chipset it's 10/100 auto sense etc very fast! SlCKB0Y 11-05-2000, 10:15 AM Cards using the ne2k-pci module (eg realtek 8029) are very compatible with linux. Ive got a few of them and had no problems Phuzon 11-06-2000, 03:25 AM try a netgear card. I got three 310's in my house and 2 of the boxes are running linux. One 24/7. They work great and the module comes with the linux kernel. Laytas Fireman-x 11-06-2000, 03:46 AM 3COM 3C509. It's about $5 or something on PriceWatch.com.
