winme with loadlin WORKS!!

i got a real mode dos patch, it didn't work even after putting back the backups i had. i cussed and cussed, and NOW, i can F5 it on boot up and run loadlin without needing to use a Dos boot disk. i assume you could do the config.sys menu thingy like in win9x
post some feedback so i can see if it worked

forgot to mention that i copyied the command.com, config.sys, io.sys, msdos.sys from my winme boot disk to my hd to overwrite the ones that were there

Why not edit autoexec.bat or doesn't it exist under WinME?

it exists alright, but winme doesn't parse it, or the config.sys, hence the need to patch it, which i've done (somehow) and it now does just fine :)

Isn't it a lot easier to let LILO do the job ?
