Hey, I'm a Linux newbie who was charged with getting a vulnerability scanner up and running. Nesses was very easy to get up and running on RH 7.1, especially using the rh distribution. And being free, it sure beats the daylights out of the $1,000+ cost for commercial products, not to mention it does a good job. BTW, if you want to run the client on a Linux box, make sure a GUI is loaded.

How did you install and configure Nessus?

Some here may appreciate a little tutorial on the requirements and setup issues.

Thanks
