my galeon was ****ed up, no idea why, but it always told me that galeon crashed and asked me if i wanted to send a bugreport..
if someone else has this:
by typing "galeon-config-tool --clear" you will clear all your settings etc, and now galeon works fine again.
galeon is the best browser, doesn't freezes like netscape, not so slow like mozilla, and with my konqueror i can't have tabbed windows + not every site is working :/ opera sucks under linux
so everyone who doesn't has it yet, go to galeon.sourceforge.net (http://galeon.sourceforge.net)

Opera has worked flawlessly for me on Slackware, RedHat, SuSE, and an LFS system. :)

nah, i think that EVERYONE should have the same preferences as me, cause I rule ;)

what i don't like about galeon, is that i can't have a bookmark-bar, only a bar for javascript bookmarks :( (possible is also that i just didn't found it ;), so if anyone knows if - and how - i can enable it, please tell me)

Galeon is really nice, has almost all the functionallity of opera + some very nice touches but unfortunately is a lot slower (no argument, sorry). Also it's a resource hog compared to opera (especially if run within KDE).

Unfortunately no browser is still that good all round to be used without using another one as well.

a lot of ppl say opera is fast.. i think i'm going to try it out to see if it's faster.. Also it's a resource hog compared to opera (especially if run within KDE).
l.
"resource hog", what does that mean?
