Ok, I want to install FreeBSD on my second hard drive leaving the first drive for Win98 & Linux. I've had FreeBSD installed before on my first hard drive & it worked just fine. I seem to be having problems installing it on my second drive though.
I set the whole drive to FreeBSD & set it bootable, used the defaults for partitioning, etc..
I try booting using Grub...It starts booting & then I get the message:
Changing root device to wd1s1a
changing root device to wd1a
error 6: cannot mount root(2)
Reboot in 15 seconds....
My grub entry is:
title FreeBSD
root (hd1,a)
kernel /boot/loader
Any suggestions???
Does the FreeBSD boot loader load linux?
It so how do I get it to install on my first hard drive?
Sorry, I'm a little green when it comes to FreeBSD...
