Iso problem with FreeBSD

Yo!

Does any one know were I can get a good copy of the fourth disc image for FreeBSD 4.4? I have tried several different mirrors and each file I download will not write to disc successfully. Is this disc even necessary for installing FreeBSD?

No, it's not necessary. All you need is the first CD. I can't remember what's on the 3 new CDs (distfiles, perhaps?), but they are not mandatory.

Excellent! I will try the install tonight. I tell you it was driving me nuts trying to find a usable iso!
