StarOffice and /tmp

why can't I install StarOffice with FreeBSD? even using root the /tmp directory fills up after about 10 megs... is there any reason for this? I could've sworn I only had partitions for /, /usr, /var, and the swap...

alright... I have my FreeBSD system configured as follows:

/ = 200megs
swap = 132megs
/tmp = 200megs
/var = 40megs
/usr = whatever I had left (aprox. 9 gigs)

this wasn't what I had before...which was the 'default' config provided by the installer... would this new partition config allow me to do the things I want without giving me too much trouble?
