I heard about this quite a bit and its the buzz of chatter for all the geeks.. umm.. people I hang around..

Do you really think it will take off or do ya all think its just one big joke?

To me, Lindows just seems like linux w/ modified WINE (plus they charge $100 per copy). It looks a lot like windows, and acts a lot like windows, but I think lycoris linux looks more promissing. Lycoris doesn't try to run windows apps, just act like windows on the surface. It used to be called redmond linux.

(Also, Lycoris is free to download while Lindows tries to copy ms's liscensing I guess. Both distros are targeted at the easy-2-use segment, but I heard that lycoris has a rather organized file structure, so it's not too cumbersome for advanced users.)

I'm just wondering, but isn't this the Unix/BSD forum, heh?
