Hey All,

About to install qmail on Sol7. Reading a HOWTO and the feller says, "You MUST have a working DNS, and your system must have a DNS name. qmail does not search an /etc/hosts file in order to look up domain names." Is this a DNS server pointing to my machine (the relationship I'm used to w/Eudora on NT)or does it want something else? I'd think its assumed that the server has a qualified dns name, but not sure how to translate the above comment. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rachael

The nameserver listed in your /etc/resolv.conf must be able to resolve your hostname.

Thanks much. The file looks as it should.
