hi all!
I'm trying to install FreeBSD onto my computer but it stalls when atempting to probe my computer hardware in the begining install. I have fixed all the curnal conflicts before the probe so that shouldn't be the problem. I do however have lots of junk inside the comp (ie, two video cards, SB live, Hardware modem, TV in card, Network card), I hope this isn't overloading the probe. Any ideas that might help me out???

That many things could cause confilicts. I would strip the system down to the essentials, and then do the install.

After the install, try putting everything back in, one at a time. If that goes well, then go on to kernel configuration.

And remember, you can always go back to the installation utility by running `/stand/sysinstall` as root.
