is there a port somewhere with kde 2.1.1?
or even 2.1 for solaris?

cause i seen enlightenment for solaris witch is pretty nice indeed. but i was just wondering about kde

at the atlanta linux thing last october, the Sun ppl had a Solaris box with KDE on it...i asked them about it and now i cant remember what they told me...agh! They said that it would ship in the future with solaris i believe...anyway, they were running it, so there has to be a version :)

actually, i think that they had to compile it (ick). I dont think that there is a binary for it :confused: :confused:

i would just check out the kde.org FTP and the Sun's FTP sites for it, who knows??

heh i heard it was possible, compiling shouldn't be hard anyways just have to get it going first. anyhow thnx for the reply

The next version of Solaris is suppose to be dropping CDE and using GNOME as the standard GUI.
