Ok, Here is a good one. I have a laptop that I used to run OpenBSD 2.7 on and instead of trying an upgrade to OpenBSD 3.0 I decided to back up my important files and start over. So I did just that. When this laptop was running 2.7 it was working fine (except apm…no biggie). Now let me get to the problem.

I used floppy30.fs on a disk and installed 3.0 using the FTP server. The installation disk saw my Ethernet card () and installed 3.0 right off the ftp server. I thought great! But, at the end of the install I was asked to reboot and I did. The kernel never saw that card again. I have tried again and again with the same results. I am not going to include the dmesg. I just don’t see an easy way to include it.
I will write somethings I thought were important from it though:

If more is needed I will get it to you, please suggest and easy way to post it though.

When installing from the floppy it read this
(working):

ne3 at pcmcia0 function0 Linksys, Combo PCMCIA Ethernet Card (EC2T), 2.0” port 0x340/32 :irq3
ne3 address 00:07:e0:07:98:07
pcic0 :irq11, polling enabled

After the installation the new (GENERIC) kernel doesn’t recognize it….so that tells me I should reconfigure the kernel…..but what part do I configure and how?
