BSD on laptop ?

Does anyone using BSD (Free/Open/Net) on a laptop ?
Anything to look out for, advice ?

I tried loading FreeBSD on an old NEC Versa, but it didn't have enough hard drive space or memory to really be useful. But that was on a P-75 w/ 1GB hd, 40MB ram. Not exactly a killer machine. I'm pretty sure most newer laptops could run it (may have to hunt around for some drivers, tho)

my boss got a 60mb copy freeBSD to a 300mb hard drive and he uses it for mincom. No X though.
