FreeBSD: vfsload() errors

I just installed freebsd on hdb^H^H^H^H ad1s1. I tried to mount my windows drive with:
mount -t msdos /dev/ad0s2 /mnt/win
works fine
but for linux
mount -t ext2 /dev/ad0s7 /mnt/lin
says mount_ext2 not found
do some looking then try
mount -t ext2fs /dev/ad0s7 /mnt/lin
and it gives me a vfsload() error. Any ideas?
