Hey All,

I'm trying to pkgadd the Netscape 4.75 dist. that I've downloaded from the Sun site to my Sol 7 server. I do a, "pkgadd -d ." and the NS package comes up as usual. Pkgadd then asks me which package I want to install. I choose "1", the only one listed. Still kosher. Then pkgadd informs me that it needs to run as root to install some files, so I enter "y" and allow it to do so. Still good. Next, I'm returned to the select packages section and then to the root permissions thing again and the circle continues ad infinitum. What the heck is going on? I deleted the package and downloaded a new Netscape. Same thing. I'm very frustrated. Please help.

what happens if you include the actual package name with the d switch? Sounds stupid but I had something like that happen to me once, at the very least this post is going back to the top.

Thanks Soleblazer. I actually tried installing another copy of NS and it worked fine. Then I went back and tried the problematic version again and voila, it installed no problem. Don't see a connection but hey, it worked so I'm not complaining.
