Trying to install lattest version of Yellow Dog onto a UMAX S900.

I've formatted the drive with drive setup, and left just free space. When trying to use FDisk to write the Linux partition i get this message back when I tell it to write the partition table

"Re-read of partition table failed (Device or resource busy) Reboot your system to ensure the partition table is updated."

I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I have even tried to use drive setup to create the linux partition.

The external HD works fine with the Mac, I can format, partition and use it fine. I have found no disk errors or anything on it by running a couple quick diasnostic tools on it, and have had no troubles with it before.

Any ideas what I am missing?
Thanks

No need to worry here :) The message just means ... well, what it said :p The partition table couldn't be updated because the drive was mounted. It wrote the partition table alright and just couldn't verify it. If the message bothers you you can mount a drive read-only (remember that all the partitions on the drive need to be mounted read-only) and then write the partition table.
