i have an imac Red Ruby as i was talking about if there compatible with obsd
well i was wondering is
how easy is it to install Debain 2.2
i think the latest release was
on an imac?
and will there be any problems i have to worry about?

Just curious, but why Debian 2.2 in particular? My understanding is that there some issues with G3/PPC's and Debian. I have 2.2 running on an old Quadra but LPPC2K on my beige G3.
There are other ports for the PowerPC/G3 architecture that might be more compatible. Yellow Dog, SuSe & LinuxPPC for instance.

but i am wondering more about debain..
hmm SuSE i might try anyhow or lppc2k
i dunno it will be my first time installing it on a mac.
thus i have done it so many times for the pc

If you can install Linux on a PC, the Mac install isn't that different. In some ways it was simpler (to me); less hassle about devices, etc.
AFAIK, there shouldn't be any special problems with installing potato on an iMac (of any color http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/wink.gif). It's a G3 with IDE drives, so configure accordingly & good luck.
