i know i post this everytime i re-install blackbox, but this time i'm putting it into a theme, and uploading it to my site, so i won't have to ask again...
how do i get tranparencies to work?
i'm already using bsetbg...

but gnometerminal won't display the BG through it...

iirc, i use bsetbg and a switch to make it transparent, gnometerminal will look all nice and shiny...
arg!

bsetbg is a script that uses other apps to set the root image (background). Read it with an editor and you'll see.

If you have Eterm installed, Esetroot can be used to set your background and it supports transparent terms.

You can have bsetbg default to Esetroot by editing ~/.bsetbgrc to something like:

### Esetroot
FULL="Esetroot -scale"
TILE="Esetroot"
CENTER="Esetroot -c"
DEFAULT="Esetroot -c"
