I want to get an up to date distribution of Linux so that I can run it on a PC with newer hardware. I currently am running Caldera 1.3 on my older PC because my newer PCs video card is not supported. A would like to choose between RH 6.0 and Caldera 2.2. The distribution that I choose must:
a) Support a Diamond Speedstar A50 and a Diamond Stealth s220.
b) Come with KDE

I would appreciate your input

Thanks in Advance

Video support is not unique to distributions. It's universal. As far as KDE is concerned Redhat 6.0 comes with KDE and Gnome, but uses Gnome by default. However, you can switch. OpenLinux 2.2 uses KDE, and I'm under the impression that you don't have a choice in which GUI you want to use with that distro. (stuck with KDE till you die http://discussions.linuxplanet.com//smile.gif )
Plus OpenL 2.2 is 37.95, while Redhat is free.

Have you considered Mandrake 8.2? It's very good, too.

IMHO, Redhat 6.0 isn't all that up-to-date-- RedHat 7.3 is out, you know...

The only thing is that the KDE that it uses will run REEEEAAAALLLY slow on an older machine...
