Panel disappeared in Gnome

I am running RH7 with Gnome. I right clicked on the panel and made some changes such as size and position and then when I rebooted the panel has disappeared. I tried going into the Gnome control center but could not do anything to fix it in there. How can I fix this? If I log in as root it works fine so there must be a file somewhere that stores this users settings could I modify that directly?

Sorry, never mind I found it. Did a search on "Panel disappeared" and found the answer. Basically just open a terminal and type panel.
