KDE21. minor annoyance

Running Suse 7.1

Upgraded to KDE2.1

Now when I log in as either root or as a user the KDE startup splash screen takes for ages - a couple of minutes- to finalise and shut down.

I know its only a minor thing but it's piss'n me off !

Any ideas about this?

One of the reasons I stopped using KDE2.0 was that the splash screen would take 30+ seconds before it went away. Sorry I don't have a suggestion for how to fix this, I just started using Enlightenment instead...
