Woo, my KDE is eViL !!! help !

I always used the switchdesk command nicely to switch windows/desktop managers.
I don't know what happened now, KDE took over my computer ! or soemthing like that.
Each time i start x goes to KDE, then i run 'switchdesk' select gnome (or another one) . Then I start x again and goes again and again and again to KDE ! , agggg.

What do you have in your ~/.xinitd file?

i don't have that file

Check to see of you have an .xinitrc file as well.If not, create one and put in: exec <your choice of window manager>
exec gnome-session
like that, if you want Gnome.

YEs im using the .xinitrc file now, but i was wondering what was wrong with the 'switcdesk' command .
