Undeniably, artwiz is a great artist. Recently converted to BBox, and haven't looked back since. So, my query? Well, the fonts that came with sum styles (snap, mint-mild) are confusin the heck out of me. Have read manuals, but configurations i have made dont work. Any one knowledgeable in this area?

I don't know if this is helpful, but he actually shows you how to install his fonts on his webpage if you check them. http://artwiz.artramp.org/index.phtml?section=art_fonts
Also if you're using Mandrake, the Mandrake tool will screw up everything. I've asked on this message board several times on how to fix it and even on the Mandrake message boards, but nobody knows how to fix them. So use Debian ;)

:) I was on the same boat with Mandrake, and I just found out that by Uninstalling ABIWORD you get back your fonts!

This is how you install fonts.
1. Create a directory to store them. Mine is in /usr/X11R6/lib/fonts/downloaded
2. Put the fonts there. They'll come in .gz, but don't unpack them. Just put them in there as you got them.
3. Go to the directory where you copied the fonts into and run mkfontdir
4. Edit your XF86Config and look for the FontPath lines. Add one:
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/fonts/downloaded"
5. Restart X for the changes to take effect.

I can't get the mint fonts to work in bb either. I have tried what is suggested on arwiz's site, followed X-console's advice and even used the crappy drakfont, but Mandrake(8.0) doesn't want to use them.
Luckily I'm scrapping Mandrake for Debian soon! :D
