I've just installed kde2.1... blah blah blah... all works... i'm wondering how I would go about removing the old version of kde... if i were to removes this through such an app like kpackage would I have to get something like KDM2?

Thank you for your help

OKay... I can uninstall all kde1 type stuff... except kdelibs... which i understand because the ****s (my appys) still use it. I can remove kdebase... restart-x but then i can't log in via the gui (it does pop up... and I fill it out normaly to login and it fails) ... i had to bust out the console and reinstall kdebase inorder to log in gui sytle. I think it has something to do with the app kdestart... but I can't can't find a newer kde2.X version.

Thanks again
