KDE not starting up

I have a problem with my KDE. I run XConfigurator and it picks up my video card and I set the resolution and the test runs fine. I then type in startx and it loads up to give me a blank canvas. It does not get past this point at all. I am running Mandrake 7.2 and using a Voodoo3 Card. Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know how to solve it? :confused:

There should be error messages generated when you startx. Post the messages if you can.
