a few questions with gnome:

hey,
1. how can i add a cdrom mount shortcut to the desktop? i did it with kde easily but in gnome it seems different.


2. when you minimize windows or apps in gnome they go into that arrow over on the right so you have to go back there to maximize it and get to that app or folder or whatever you have.
i would love to have this minimize in the taskbar(over on the right) so you can quickly get back to it w/out the extra step.
i hope i explained it well enough.

Let me try question number 2. There's an applet -> utility -> tasklist that produces a place in the taskbar where minimized apps can be recovered.
