Ok.. Yes, I'm using Gnome, and ok, i can change the "windows manager", but im still in gnome. But then i read that windows managers can run alone without gnome, is this true ?. but then you would not have all the good programas of gnome?, and how you open stuff with windows manager, then in KDE, i couldnt find anywhere a "section" to change windows manager like gnome, so no other window manager can run in KDE ?.
i asked too many questions here, ha, i hope you can answer them all,
thanks.

GNOME and KDE are both desktop managers and are completely optional. So yes, you can run window managers without GNOME or KDE. This is how it was done before and a lot of people (including me) don't bother with desktop managers. And yes, you can run GNOME and KDE programs without running GNOME or KDE.
To open stuff in window managers, it depends on what window manager you're using. Some of them have their own icons and menus such as WindowMaker and Blackbox. So you can start them from the menus/icons or just by opening an xterm and typing the program there.
The last time I used KDE, I could change the window manager. I'm not so sure about the current versions of KDE (haven't used it in 1-2 years).
