sawfish-ui error

Hi:
I was trying out sawfish the other day just to see what it was all about. I got it to run but when I try to run the config tool (sawfish-ui)I get the following message:
error "can't connect to sawfish on display" ":0"
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you using Ximian gnome and debian?

the only way that I was able to get sawfish to work, and I found this on the debian homepage in the bug tracker, was that ximian and helix debs conflict with sawfish. The only way to fix it is to remove the Ximian/helix packages and replace them with the standard packages.
I spent a couple hours with aptitude get getting it all set up with out the ximian/helix packages!
