No icons in Gnome desktop

Hi all! I created a user for my wife and she was checking things out and now doesn't have any icons on here desktop. No trash, home...etc. How can she get them back? Help! :eek:

either run gmc or nautilus (which ever you are running for you're desktop) if neither works then try putting a file into ~/.gnome-desktop

Yes, I had the same problem. You can just rerun the gnome-desktop as ansivirus knows more than I. The problem can arise if you have the auto-save configuration turned on and the desktop crashes. It then thinks you want it that way all of the time. Start it and then it will save when you log out (assuming you have not turned off the auto-save).

I was able to get it working and got the icons back. :) :)
